Happy New Year

2020 has been hard for all of everybody in the Church and the wider world and everyone has been affected in different ways.

As a fellowship Rothwell Baptist Church been challenged, but I believe that we have risen to this challenge.

We are so pleased that the members of the Church have all adapted and embraced the technology needed for our worship to continue.  We am reminded that God promises to be there in times of struggle, and have seen Him work powerfully here in the last 9 months.

What you see here in Rothwell Baptist Church is exceptional and we all thank God, the source of our strength.

Few of us would have believed back at Easter 2020, where we had to conduct our first worship services on-line that we would still be doing so into the New Year.  It is a good job because some might have found that prospect unbearable.

We should also thank God for the scientists who have put together effective vaccines, in hitherto infeasibly short timescales, which promises and end to the crisis.

We should not take anything in this world for granted and so in this New Year we encourage everyone to focus on continued perseverance and prayer.   God will deliver us from this, what He requires from us is simply patience.

So, with good reason and with well-founded hope, everyone at Rothwell Baptist Church wishes you all a very happy New Year.
